Review of Long-range electron transfer in proteins
1992-1997. Assuming the central position of the metal atom, we applied the electron transfer theory to the model quasiextended states and to some other models and made a comparative analysis of the results obtained. As applied to the photoreaction center, the model of quasiextended states can be used to describe the excited state of the primary acceptor, the electron transfer from QA to QB, and the electron transfer from cytochrome C to a special pair ( /14/, /17/ ).
1997-1998. Based on the polaron theory we calculated the electron transfer rate for globular proteins (cyt С) in various conditions with due regard for both the details of the local surroundings of the active center involved in the electron transfer and the macroscopic protein medium.
1998-1999. Based on the polaron theory we calculated the electron transfer rate for globular proteins (cyt в5). The results obtained are in satisfactory agreement with the experiment.
1999-2005. Studies of the long-range electron transfer in proteins and clusters via electron extended states.
