Electron states in clusters
Review of the studies carried out
The theory of electron extended self-consistent states in molecular clusters developed by the laboratory has provided an explanation for a great body of effects observed in aqueous and ammonia clusters ( /1/, /2/ ). Figures 1-2 show electron extended self-consistent states in an aqueous cluster. Figure 3 compares with the experiment the energies of electron photodetachment from the cluster calculated for such states depending on the number of molecules in the cluster.
